Sean John Unforgivable launched as two distinct fragrances: Unforgivable for Men (2006), an aromatic fougère EDT, and Unforgivable Woman (2007), an oriental floral EDP — each built around different note structures, concentrations, and intended wearers.

Unforgivable for Men opens with Sicilian lemon, green mandarin, and juniper, then dries down to a rum, Australian sandalwood, and tonka bean base — dark, aromatic, and slightly boozy. Unforgivable Woman, created by perfumer David Apel, opens with bitter orange and pear, moves through a jasmine and violet heart, and settles into a warm sandalwood, patchouli, and vanilla base. The two fragrances share a woody-warm DNA but are structurally and olfactively distinct products.

  • Unforgivable for Men (2006) is an EDT with a citrus-fougère opening and rum-sandalwood base.
  • Unforgivable Woman (2007) is an EDP, giving it higher fragrance oil concentration and typically longer longevity than the men's version.
  • Unforgivable for Men won the FiFi Award for Men's Luxe in 2007.
  • Unforgivable Woman was created by perfumer David Apel and classified as an oriental floral.
  • Both fragrances have flanker versions: Unforgivable Black (men, 2008) and Unforgivable Woman Black (women, 2008).
